Physical Modeling and Simulink Block-Generation from Maplesoft

BlockBuilder from Maplesoft introduces a "First Principles" physical modelling environment for Simulink. Engineers can mathematically develop models of dynamic systems, particularly for plant control applications and then implement them in Simulink as a subsystem block.

Featuring the full power of Maple, BlockBuilder helps engineers to develop ideas from initial concepts to high fidelity physical models, and automatically generate Simulink S-Function blocks to enhance and extend their Simulink models.

"Preparing system models by hand for use in Simulink can be laborious and error prone, often taking up to 80% of the project time. With BlockBuilder for Simulink, projects that would have taken days to complete are turned around in a matter of hours."

                            - Dr Richard Gran. Formerly with Grunman Corp. as Director of Advanced Concepts, Head of the Dynamics and Control Theory Laboratory, and Member of the Digital Flight Control System design team for the Apollo Lunar Module.
