DynaFlexPro is a Maple package for modeling and simulating the dynamics of mechanical multibody systems.  A graphical user interface, DynaFlexPro ModelBuilder, facilitates the rapid creation of system models using block diagrams and drop-down menus.  DynaFlexPro combines graph theory with engineering mechanics in algorithms that automatically generate the system equations from the system model.

“DynaFlexPro is a fantastic package. I’d recommend it to any control-engineer who needs to create mathematical models of complex articulated multibody systems and analyze their dynamic behavior.”

  - Dr Venkat N. Krovi, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, State University of New York at Buffalo

  • Key features
  • Ideal users
  • Technical requirements
  •  Maple’s powerful computer algebra technologies are used to create concise and efficient sets of system equations in symbolic form, which facilitates viewing, physical insight, and sharing.  Not only does this facilitate the design, optimisation, simulation and control of complex engineering systems, this symbolic approach is well-suited to teaching of mechanical system design.

The latest usability features of DynaFlexPro v3.0 mean that you can produce models of complex mechanical systems without knowing anything about linear graph theory or Maple command syntax.

New Task Assistants and a Coordinate Selection dialog provide a much easier user interface for developing your mechanical systems models than ever before.

Modeling and simulating the dynamics of mechanical multibody systems. Rapid creation of system models using block diagrams and drop-down menus.

     Key features

    • Rapid creation of system models using block diagrams and drop-down menus
    • Automatic generation of kinematic and dynamic equations from system model
    • Users can select their preferred modeling coordinates
    • Uses computer algebra to generate small, efficient sets of equations
    • Symbolic equations can be visually examined and shared between team members, clients, colleagues and students
    • Symbolic format leads to efficient numerical simulation using Maple’s large library of numerical solvers (including those from NAG)
    • Specialised routines create optimised code for real-time simulation
    • Extensive User’s Manual in “e-book” format, with many solved examples that can be run directly by the user
    • Compatible with BlockBuilder for Simulink
    • DynaFlexPro/Tire is an optional add-on package to DynaFlexPro. Users can incorporate the latest pneumatic tire models into simulations of vehicle systems.

     Ideal users:

    • Engineers with a dynamic mechanical system to design or analyse
    • Instructors of courses in dynamics and design

    Technical requirements

    • Maple 10 or above

    License definitions

    • Non concurrent -  a non concurrent license is an individual license that allows products to be installed and used on a Single PC under Windows, Linux or MAC.
    • Concurrent - a concurrent license can float among all supported Unix, Windows or Linux systems as long as they operate under a single license manager on a local area network. The product is not locked to a specific computer; instead, it allows a specified number of concurrent users to run the product on any computer in a local area network.
