ZMP INC., believe that a robot is the most suitable hands-on material for learning basic engineering ideas for students in such disciplines as mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, control engineering, information engineering among others.
The idea behind the new ZMP e-nuvo series is to contribute to the education of engineers with practical skills through the use of advanced robots. Robots present a great opportunity for learning diverse disciplines such as mechanical, electric, electronic or control engineering.
ZMP expect the students, the future players in tomorrow's engineering world, to acquire the necessary knowledge to surpass the limits of today's academia. The ZMP e-nuvo series includes not only advanced robots, but also ready-to-use and easy to understand textbooks. ZMP are ready to support practical education and further your students' interest in the world of robotics and engineering.
- e-nuovo ARM - In order to develop bipedal walking robots as well as industrial arm robots, it is indispensable to use link structure analysis (kinematics) as well as design using CAD. With an arm robot the student can apply what they have learned using e-nuvo BASIC to link structures similar to the ones used in e-nuvo WALK's legs.
- e-nuovo BASIC - covers the basic themes for controlling and operating robots from basic concepts about LEDs, motors and potentiometers to themes such as Feedback control, PWM, A/D conversion, Motor control using processors, etc. It also includes the starter kit from Renesas Technology to study embedded systems.
- e-nuvo WALK version 2.5 is the bipedal walking robot that permits you to put into practice the technologies you learned with the other -nuovo models (BASIC, ARM, WHEEL). With its distributed processing structure composed of 4 CPUS and 12 Joints (motors- degrees of freedom), this robot is the most suitable for purposes from teaching to research.
- e-nuovo WHEEL - This robot permits us to understand easily not only Modern Control theory but also how to use sensors such as encoders and gyro-sensors in our algorithms. The user also gets to know about analysis and simulation through the use of the well-established tools from MATLAB/Simulink.
