For open- and closed-loop simulation of automotive software architectures
- Verification of functions in an early development phase
- Bus simulation possible
- Open-loop and closed-loop simulation
- Validation of virtual networked ECUs
Application Areas
After functions for an electronic control unit (ECU) have been implemented and integrated, their correct behavior has to be verified, either for one single ECU or for multiple networked ECUs. This is often the first time the functions have worked together, and many errors in logical links between functionalities are found until this late stage. With the SystemDesk Simulation Module, these problems can be detected as early as the specification or implementation stage. As soon as the model structure is available, you can simulate several new effects on your PC, like communication or connection via the I/O.
Key Benefits
With the SystemDesk Simulation Module, you can simulate the models and their implementation offline. Testing separately developed functions as an overall system helps you verify system behavior and find errors in an early development stage, thereby saving time and costs. For a rough estimation of bus usage, effects such as arbitration or bus capacities can be simulated. All SystemDesk’s simulation options can be controlled via integrated scripting options or the COM-based automation interface. This enables you to integrate the simulation into your testing and development processes and to automate test execution.
1) As of December 2007, the SystemDesk Simulation Module is still under development. It is planned for a later version.
