Application Areas
For hardware-in-the-loop test sequences, MLIB/MTRACE can perform complete test drives automatically. Instead of waiting for hours for the first failure, simply specify the failure events and the corresponding actions and let MLIB/MTRACE monitor your experiment. In the case of real-time data logging, MLIB/MTRACE allows you to run completely automatic capture sequences under the control of MATLAB M files, where you can specify the variables to trace. For data logging, the captured data is transferred from the processor buffer directly to the MATLAB workspace.

Key Benefits
With MLIB/MTRACE, you can add powerful experiment automation capabilities to your dSPACE real-time system. The functions of these two libraries give you direct access from MATLAB scripts to the variables of the application running on a dSPACE board, without interrupting the experiment. For controller optimisation, MLIB/MTRACE captures data and transfers it to MATLAB. MATLAB then automatically calculates new controller parameters, which are sent back to the dSPACE hardware by means of MLIB/MTRACE.
