Bypassing via XCP on Ethernet
Paderborn, March 18, 2008

dSPACE has added XCP on Ethernet (UDP/IP) to its range of bypass interfaces for fast ECU function development. Function developers use bypassing to develop new parts of the ECU code, or parts that need optimizing, on the prototyping hardware, while the original ECU continues to execute all the other functions. As an increasing number of ECUs are already equipped with an XCP-on-Ethernet interface, the dSPACE bypass solution can be used on them without any ECU modifications having to be made.
