Smart Radio Challenge ’07 award winners showcase solution with Lyrtech platforms that addresses radio communications overload in emergency situations

Lyrtech Inc., a worldwide leader in digital signal processing technologies, is pleased to announce that two research teams won the best design and best paper awards of the SDR Forum’s Smart Radio Challenge ’07 using Lyrtech platforms. Wireless @ Virginia Tech’s Team Mobile and Portable Radio Research Group (MPRG) won the best design award and the University of Utah won the best paper award last week for their work towards developing solutions to the spectrum access for first responders challenge.
